Our Innkeepers and Staff

With over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, we take your comfort seriously

Bruce is a successful veteran of the hospitality industry, nearly 40 years of experience running award-winning Lodges, Inns, Boutique Hotels, and Bed and Breakfasts. With the Frisco Inn on Galena, Bruce saw an opportunity to create a special Bed and Breakfast and Boutique Inn experience for the discriminating traveler, reminiscent of the fine, small hotels and B&B’s of Europe. The wonderful design of the Inn, its peaceful location just off Main Street, yet near the center of Frisco, coupled with Bruce and his staff’s knack for providing unmatched hospitality, fine cuisine, and service have come together to create the exciting and inviting sport hotel and spa, the Frisco Inn on Galena.

Through all of his ventures, he is amazed at the aloofness of the travel industry throughout the world, and has vowed that all of his patrons will feel pampered, and no one will ever feel neglected, as a guest oFrisco Innf the Frisco Inn.

Bruce invites each of you to join him and his staff, to experience the unique comfort, service, and insights about the area, that the Inn provides. Bruce lives in Frisco.

PATRICK – Manager/ Resident Innkeeper, Patrick Vincent is a songwriter at heart with the ability to play any patrick-guitarinstrument with strings on it. Patrick has been involved with the music industry in Nashville and loves to sing. He is also a jack of all trades when it comes to construction. He has a passion for the culinary arts and is always in search of new patrick-portraitways to treat the taste buds. Being from northern Michigan, he loves the snow and everything that comes with it. His abilities to go above and beyond is what he prides himself on and looks forward to making sure you have an outstanding experience here at the Frisco Inn on Galena. Since becoming the manager and resident Innkeeper, Patrick is even more proud of the Inn (if that’s possible) and has an amazing staff (Family) that pride themselves in ensuring that every guest has the best personal experience during their stay. Since moving to Frisco, Patrick has taken up panning for gold as a hobby and has found a little. On some afternoons, Patrick is known to bring out his guitar and preform a few songs to entertain. Patrick will welcome you with a handshake and send you home with another if not a hug.

CHAD – Assistant Manager Chad Sherfey says: “I am an ‘old sole’ with a technology twist.”  Father of three great young men.  Born and raised in Bellingham Washington, had a “normal” upbringing.  I played sports in high school, got in a little trouble and had a bunch of fun, like most kids during those years.   I have been told that I am a “dichotomy wrapped in an enigma” I love to scuba dive, yet I find myself landlocked…  I have a degree in political science, work in an industry where you don’t discuss politics.  Anyway, after college I started working at a casino, where I learned a great deal under the tutelage of two great mentors who “gave me enough rope to hang myself” yet taught me a great deal.  15 years in hospitality and I wanted to try something new (I have also been told I’m seriously ADD) so I sold health insurance for a year or so.  I met a guy that was starting a construction company and said to myself “hey that might be fun” and went to work.  I had a great time but still had hospitality in my heart, so I joined the team at the Frisco Inn on Galena….

GUS – Assistant Innkeeper, Scott Nobbe is a native Hoosier.  But unlike most boys from Indiana, never made it playing basketball.  Instead, he excelled in soccer, wrestling and tennis.  He went on to play soccer at Valparaiso University where he graduated with a Sports Management Degree.  After undergrad, Gus’ path has been quite the varied one.  He’s served in the United States Army, taught conversational English overseas, was a Catholic priest for over a decade, spent some time in Minnesota as a hospice chaplain, served as a full-time volunteer for a stretch and worked as a driver trainer for the last 7 years prior to coming to Frisco Inn on Galena.  Yes, he is that old!  Gus is the proud uncle of 5 nieces and 2 great-nieces.  A little-known fact about Gus is that he only has one kidney.  Can you guess which one?  He also does a great Jurassic Park raptor impression. Gus relaxes by playing online chess, reading trashy novels, fishing and traveling.  Gus hopes he can make your visit a memorable one to the point you will want to return time and again.

WILL – Assistant Innkeeper, William Dye, is a lately awakened soul. For the first half of his life, Will was raised in Maryland. After his first move out of state to Texas, he couldn’t get enough. He was tired of the city life and wanted to experience new ways, or old ways depending how you look at it. He then began traveling around the US, making stops in Tennessee, Montana and more! The travels come to a halt for now at the Frisco Inn where Will spends his days learning recipes and hospitality secrets, further adding to his repertoire.

During his free time, Will likes to do many things: write poems, story-boarding novels, draw, hike, the list goes on! Will also enjoys furthering his own understanding of our ever revolving world by studying computer languages and learning Japanese (this ones a struggle!) While he has more interests than time allows him to pursue, he does his best to manage what he can to mold himself.

ALEX – Front Desk Manager Alex Knoepfel is a 3rd generation Frisco native, born and raised in Summit County, Alex enjoys all things Colorado. No matter the activity: biking, hiking, backpacking, camping, long boarding, skiing and riding or the like, Alex can be found doing a myriad of activities around town and the county. “A Colorado slice of paradise, the amount of adventures to be had are staggering and I’d like to do them all, although that may be a challenge, this area has so much to offer. I’m chalking them off the list as I go.”
