From caroling and Santa visits, to the Frisco Holiday Tree Lighting, Christmas festivities are in full swing here in the High Country. But, it is Wassail Days that really makes it feel like the holidays. This year from December 4 – 13, Frisco is hosting the 8th Annual Wassail Days celebration.

Wassail is a delicious hot spiced cider that is served in Frisco during our favorite time of year. On December 4, local businesses created their own yummy version of wassail. Locals and visitors are encouraged to taste at least 12 different types of wassail at 12 different locations and fill their “12 sips of Wassail Card”. Once the card is filled out, guests can turn them in at the Frisco/Copper Information Center in exchange for a Frisco Wassail Days mug. This year’s mug features Frisco’s iconic holiday light display.
While you are out enjoying wassail, join the fun at the Ugly Sweater Challenge. The 2nd Annual Ugly Sweater Challenge will kick off at 4:00 pm this Saturday, December 12. Ugly sweaters are required for participation and the uglier the better! Beginning at 7th Avenue and finishing at the Frisco Historic Park, participants are encouraged to take on five holiday challenges. Challenges include fun holiday tasks like fruit cake target practice and egg nog shooters. Once the participants have finished the challenges, awards will be given out for best ugly holiday sweater, best team of ugly holiday sweaters, and best dog holiday sweater.
