Welcome to Mt. Royal Coffee, Summit County’s one-of-a-kind coffee shop and roastery, located inside 1the award-winning Frisco Inn on Galena. We’re proud to be the only inn in Colorado to roast coffee right on site. From single-origin beans to our signature Mt. Royal Espresso Blend, every roast is crafted with care, freshness, and flavor in mind.
Stop by to sip, savor, and even watch our master roaster at work as green beans from around the world are transformed into the rich, aromatic coffees we’re known for. Our Coffee Roasts
We source beans from the world’s most celebrated coffee regions and roast them to highlight their unique qualities. Some of our favorites include:
- Ethiopia Yirgacheffe (Light Roast) – Floral, bright, and smooth with earthy undertones.
- Costa Rica Tarrazú La Pastora (Medium Roast) – Aromatic complexity, creamy body, and citrus-chocolate notes.
- Guatemala SHB EP (Dark Roast) – Rich and classic with vibrant acidity and sweetness.
- Brazil Cerrado (Dark Roast) – Smooth, balanced, and chocolatey with low acidity.
- Colombia Excelso (Medium Roast) – Well-balanced with flavors of chocolate, fruit, and a clean finish.
- Mexico Chiapas Turquesa (Light Roast) – Subtle chocolate and hazelnut tones, great for espresso.
- Mt. Royal Espresso Blend (Very Dark Roast) – Our house favorite, bold yet smooth, perfect alone or with milk.
- Colombian Swiss Water Decaf (Light–Medium Roast) – 99.9% caffeine-free, aromatic, and full-bodied.
