Arrival is a Feeling

Mornings like these at the Frisco Inn on Galena are my favorite.

Waking early to brew the first pot of coffee, exchanging easy smiles with our innkeepers, and watching the house gently come to life as our guests wake—these small, familiar rituals are what begin my day, every day.

Every interaction we share with our guests—from the first phone call to the goodbyes at the door—is organic. There’s no script, no third-party platform collecting a transaction in the background. This is real life. And the reward is a house full of memories, unfolding in real time, every single minute.

Arrivals are special here. Our guests are excited—and so are we. One innkeeper is planning what to serve for aperitivo, while another is gently rearranging the house after departures. I’m already thinking about tomorrow morning’s scones, wondering which flavor to make, because Mrs. Harris insists she dreams about them for weeks before her arrival.

It’s these quiet, human moments that shape the experience here. Arrival is a feeling. It’s one that lingers long after the door closes behind you.
