From January, 9th – January, 12th in downtown Breckenridge, snow lovers will unite to celebrate snow, tradition, and fun! Expect crazy floats, the biggest bonfire in town, skiers and snowboarders wearing horned Viking hats, and plenty of exciting activities. 2019 will mark 55 years of the Ullr Fest, and it is a High Country event you will not want to miss!

The Legend of Ullr and His Love of Snow & Skiing in the High Country

Ullr is a Norse God with a particular affinity for the cold weather, traveling throughout the land, and gliding on his great skis for pleasure and hunting. It has been said that one of his travels found him in Breckenridge, Colorado and that he blesses it every year with some of the finest snow in the world. To repay him for his gift of snow, Breckenridge holds a festival in his honor every year!
