IMG_8156smThe Ten Mile range just experienced its first snowfall this week, up to 12 inches in places, and local resorts are making snow like mad. The mountains are beginning to glow with the bright white of snow and you know what that means – ski season is just around the corner! The coming snowy season is one of our favorites because it draws so many great visitors to Colorado. If you haven’t already, it’s time to get prepping for a winter getaway to the High Country. Here’s a list of a few local resort opening day info that will help you get geared up and excited for the coming season.

Keystone

To ramp up for ski season Keystone Resort is hosting the 32nd annual Wine in the Pines event this coming weekend. Wine in the Pines is a two-day extravaganza benefiting the Kelly Smith Employment Center at Ability Connection Colorado. This wonderful event was created to help people with disabilities in seeking employment and job training. Click here to learn more.

Keystone is also counting down the seconds until opening day which happens in just a few short weeks. Friday November 6th at 9 am marks the start of the 45th winter season at Keystone. Opening day will bring a DJ, contests, freebies, giveaways and plenty of skiing and snowboarding.

Copper Mountain

This year, opening day at Copper Mountain is an extra exciting time with Olympic Medalists and World Champion alpine skiers at the First Tracks: U.S. Alpine Ski Team Naming. This celebration enables fans to celebrate our athlete’s victories in Sochi and cheer them on as they head into 2015-2016 season. Copper’s opening day is also Friday, November 6th.

Breckenridge

Opening day is just three weeks away at Breck and we can’t wait! On Friday November 13th at 9 am, this resort right up the road from Frisco will open for the 2015-2016 season. It’s on of the locals’ favorite days of the year and we can’t wait. Visit Breckenridge’s site for a schedule of opening day activities, terrain updates and snow reports.

It’s not too late to book a room at the Inn to enjoy a winter getaway this season. We hope to see you soon!
