The Lost Cajun
You don’t have to go all the way to New Orleans for some great Cajun food. Just a quick walk down Main Street will lead you to The Lost Cajun. This is the perfect place for a scrumptious lunch of Cajun classics such as gumbo, red beans and rice, crawfish and lobster bisque. The meals are delicious, but we definitely recommend you save room for The Lost Cajun’s beignets. Raymond Griffin, the owner, is a Louisiana native so we aren’t kidding when we say this is the best Cajun food you can get for miles.
Prost – Fine Beers and Sausages
Another hidden gem that can be found in Frisco is Prost. Prost, meaning cheers in German, is also located on Main Street and is known for its amazing beer selection. And, while the beer is fantastic, the restaurant’s Bavarian fare is what’s really worth talking about. You can find a wide selection of fabulous dishes ranging from your typical bratwurst to an elk jalapeno cheddar, buffalo green chili and chipotle, and wild boar with apricots and cranberry sausage. There are also Bavarian pretzels and sandwiches on the menu that will satisfy anyone’s cravings.
Vinny’s Euro-American Cuisine
If it’s date night and you’re looking for a romantic, upscale restaurant to enjoy with your significant other, look no further than Vinny’s Euro-American Cuisine. This menu ranges from dishes such as the duck leg confit to a three-cheese lobster manicotti. Each dish is made with fresh seasonal organic ingredients and is a unique culinary creation. We definitely suggest you make reservations on Friday and Saturday nights since it’s a popular place with both tourists and locals. Or, if you’re looking to just enjoy a drink or two, Vinny’s has an extensive wine and cocktail list and happy hour every day from 3 to 5 p.m.
Boatyard American Grille
Boatyard American Grille is the perfect place to take the whole family to dinner. The large menu has dishes that will please everyone in your party from pizza to burgers and sandwiches, along with pasta entrees and steak and fish. Boatyard also has a great patio seating area, and is a perfect dining atmosphere as the weather starts to warm up. The restaurant is located on Main Street and is open for both lunch and dinner.
