ConcertBlogThe holidays have come and gone and you have finally gotten back into your normal routine. But, now it’s time to get out, brave the cold, and enjoy some adventures in the High Country. January in Summit County offers countless exciting events. So we have created a list of fun events you don’t want to miss while staying at Frisco Inn on Galena.

Keystone’s Winter Bluegrass Weekend

The 5th annual Keystone Winter Bluegrass Weekend begins January 22 at Warren Station. Enjoy two nights of concerts featuring amazing mountain music and string bands. The weekend features a line up that is sure to impress with familiar favorites such as the Pine Beatles, Steel Pennies and Timber!. This weekend also features the Railsplitters, Caribou Mountain Collective and Rapidgrass. So head out to Warren Station in Keystone for some foot-stomping bluegrass while benefiting the Dercum Center for the Arts and Humanities. Visit Keystone Festivals website for a complete schedule and line up.

WinterBike at Copper Mountain

Get some exercise and support the education and advocacy efforts of the Cloud City Wheelers during the 5th annual WinterBike event at Copper Mountain. On Saturday January 23 competitors will ride into the night for this country cross race. Don’t miss this opportunity to race in the Rockies!

Abominable Adventure Winter Run

This family friendly event on January 30 is the perfect place to cure cabin fever and enjoy the crisp clean mountain air. The 4-mile obstacle course includes a 60-foot snow tunnel, steep hills, tall climbing walls, a log carry section and sledding. After the race warm up with some hot chocolate – that is, if you were able to escape the Yeti, and enjoy more winter fun such as snowshoeing and sledding!
