As a bed and breakfast, all of us at the Frisco Inn on Galena take pride in providing not only a comfortable stay for our guests but also high-quality dishes for every meal we serve. Which is why we’re thrilled to welcome Executive Chef Cy Thorne to our kitchen.

Cy-Kitchen

Cy began his culinary career in various popular fast food restaurants while continuing his education in psychology. Shortly after the birth of his child, his family relocated to the central part of Florida, at which point his culinary career blossomed. Working with Walt Disney World, he gained experience in kitchens such as the Cinderella Royal Table and the Yachtsman Steak House, and developed the ‘magic’ he brings to the kitchen today.

Cy attended Orlando Culinary Academy’s Le Cordon Bleu program where he studied under Master Chef Michael Scott. He has also studied with Executive Sous Chef under TV’s Tim Love of The Lonesome Dove Bistro in Fort Worth, Texas. In Colorado, Cy has worked for several local ski resorts and was an Executive Chef for a nonprofit children’s camp for kids with debilitating diseases, serving meals for kids with extreme dietary needs.
