Fireworks_NYEBreckenridge, the largest historic district in Colorado, is truly one of the best spots in the Colorado Rockies to enjoy New Year’s eve. This friendly laid-back town is the perfect place to get social, make new friends, and enjoy the festivities on one of the country’s biggest holidays. Breckenridge is our friendly neighbor just down the road so we know it well. Book a room with us and try venturing out to Breck for a New Year’s adventure, or just hang out in town and enjoy a laid back New Year.

For the kids

Kids ages 5-13 are invited to participate in Breckenridge’s Glow Worm Parade. Kids will be skiing green terrain with glow sticks to give the appearance of a New Year’s glow worm. To join the fun, head to Beaver Run Ski and Snowboard School at 5 pm for registration. Then get your glow sticks ready for the parade 5:45.

For the family

Each year, Breckenridge Ski and Snowboard School puts on the Torchlight Parade. Beginning at 6 pm, torches are carried by skiers from the top of Peak 9 down to the American Village. Relax and have après drinks at the Maggie or the Coppertop to get the best views of the skiers illuminating the mountain. After the torchlight parade, stick around to enjoy the fireworks! Beginning at 9 pm, the fireworks will be shot from an area between Peaks 8 and 9, and will be visible all throughout town.

Relax and unwind

If you’re not up for a big New Year’s shebang, Summit County is still the perfect place to relax, unwind and reflect on the year. With plenty of fantastic restaurants in here in Frisco, great skiing in all directions and a warm, cozy fireplace right here at the Inn, you’re sure to have an enjoyable New Year when you pay us a visit in the High Country.
