SkierBlogIf you are planning on visiting our mountain inn in this month, you have the opportunity to participate in some great events for some even greater causes while you’re here. And what’s better than enjoying beautiful weather while supporting your favorite charities?

Hope on the Slopes

Hope on the Slopes, created by Ski and Ride for a Cure, welcomes all skiers and snowboards from across the country to Breckenridge Ski Resort this Saturday, February 20 in an effort to help American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer. To register or find more information about this fundraising event click here.

50+ Winter Games

Each year in February Summit County hosts the 50+ Winter Games, where older adults from across the country come to compete in alpine, Nordic and ice skating events. With the average ages ranging from 65-72, this event is for all senior citizens! It is a great opportunity to meet friends and participate in healthy competition. All proceeds from the games benefit the Summit County Senior Citizens. So on February 22 and 23, come out with your friends and enjoy good weather with good people while supporting a great cause!

Pink Party for Snowshoe for the Cure

Susan G. Komen Colorado has partnered with the Town of Frisco and Frisco Nordic Center to create Snowshoe for the Cure, formerly known as Tubb’s Romp to Stomp. This family-friendly event offers Summit County a day of snowshoeing fun through the beautiful trails of Frisco’s Nordic Center on March 5. Register or donate here and join Snowshoe for the Cure to help STOMP OUT breast cancer!

If you haven’t already booked a time to come up and stay with us this spring, give us a call and do so today. Spring in the Rockies is a lovely time. Hope to see you soon!
